Bertha's Rebirth! Part one

Well there really is a lot to be said for good old fashioned elbow grease,  a positive attitude,  a great partner to work with and a few cans of degreaser!   We finally had a break in the weather and headed back out to the trailer to continue the gutting and begin the cleaning!
The furnace is perfect!   Warmed us up quickly!
And we begin tackling the last of the cupboards.

 One step at a time!
 Another pile for the dump!
Gone!   Opened everything up and now we can CLEAN!

A shot of the whole length all opened up!   Now to move Bertha!  Took some creativity,  a car jack,  some furniture dollies and a lot of patience but we did it!
We knew we couldn't live with not getting behind there and cleaning up.

Once we saw the extent of the grime we quickly decided to just remove the metal clad floor underneath the stove and replace it.

 Forks!
Bertha's new home for a while!
Here is the floor as we pried it up.   We couldn't find the screws through the goop!   Yuck! Sheer strength and determination made it happen.
Yuck!   The first layers of degreaser doing their job and a very tired scrubber!
Looking better!   This pipe is now clean!
This side of the pipe is not...
 Shiny!
After!   Waiting for the new floor.   Next time we'll tackle Bertha,  but for now just her space got the once over.
Felt so good to clean up.   A beautiful reward with tea by the fire and a sunset.

What a weekend!   We are exhausted and have not enjoyed a shower this much in a long time!
